star wars yoke - mame deadzone
« on: August 17, 2013, 07:05:40 pm »
hey guys,

i'n trying to tweak my star wars yoke to get it to "feel" right within the game.  i;ve played around with the sensitivity but i think it has more to do with mame's joystick_deadzone which defaults at 0.3 (range is 0.0 - 1.0).

i'm using mala as my FE.  when i open the starwars cfg file, i'm not sure where i should put the flag to change the joystick_deadzone.  anyone willing to help or have this solved themselves?

thanks

I don't think that is a per game setting.  I think it needs to be set at the global level in mame.ini.  I have mine set at 0.02, and my yoke feels good in SW.  Can't say I've noticed any issues with other analog games.  Then again, I don't play many other analog games.
