Do you plan to use a pot gun with MAME? Interesting. Limiting, but interesting. I suppose an Optimarc would be nice.

Howdy, isn't the Op Wolf gun an optic gun that doesn't use potentiometers?  I think I had one of these, or an Op Thunder one before and could not do anything with it.

According to the KLOVG the gun has "photo-light sensor". Sounds optic to me, but they aren't always right. I do know the Terminator guns used pots. Just my $0.02.  :)

Howdy again,

Now I remember that the one I bought was actually a Mechanized Attack, not an Op Wolf or Thunder one--or at least that's what it was listed for on Ebay.

Hmm... I remember having the one on my location open many o' times... There are pots inside the "base" if I remember right.

Wouldn't be the first time the "Killer List" was wrong.

I guess to answer the original post-- not yet .  It seems to me that it would be a straight forward hack similar to the t2 guns (i saw this game at an auction and there were no optics on the gun)  Let us know how you make out!  :)
its better to not post and be thought a fool, then to whip out your keyboard and remove all doubt...

One of these DEFINATELY was a light gun attached..  I've heard of people complaining because they bought it to hack it... and not much you can do.

Search on the board and you might find the old posts on it.

Just pulled out my Operation Wolf gun.
It's an optical gun.

When I get the time I'm going to try and convert it into a "positional gun" using parts from a mouse or a trackball optic card.  Looks like it may take some gearing to get it to track right.

Of course if someone comes up with a hack to get the optical stuff to work it'll same me a lot of time....

Anyone???

Wouldn't the problem be in calibrating it?

I would have thought so.  The guy who made the awesome looking yoke used optics (rather than pots), and I believe he found problems with that - it won't stay calibrated.  Same principal I guess, so pots would probably be better...
