USB, CAT5 jacks for back of Cabinet
« on: July 26, 2013, 02:14:14 am »
I'd like to put a USB and CAT5 jack on the back of my cabinets.  I once saw a picture somewhere on this forum of a nice looking solution, but have been unable to source anything myself.  The closest I've come are the wall plates you can get at home depot (and frankly I think it would look terrible on a Cabinet)

Any suggestions?

Are you talking about the Neutrik feedthrus? (NAUSB-W-B and NE8FDP)

Focus Attack, Allied Electronics, Digi-key, Mouser and many other sources carry them.

If its on the back, a cheap and simple solution is just leave some cat5 and usb extension cables plugged into the mobo. Once the machine is set up and dialed in, I seldom tweak with it to justify a jack for it.
