Rowe R-90 Jukebox error code questions/Loud Horn noise
« on: July 10, 2013, 11:36:04 pm »
I haven't had any problems with my Rowe R-90 Jukebox until about a week ago. The jukebox would just start playing on it's own so I unplugged it until I had time to check it out. I tried plugging it in yesterday and it makes a LOUD bull horn sound.  :dizzy: That's the only way I can think to describe it. The display also says Error 1.  :dunno I was wondering if anyone had any idea what this code meant and why it's making that noise. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

Error 1 means factory defaults were loaded due to a dead or weak battery inside the Central Control Computer.

Hello Schrock,

Sorry you did not leave a name but welcome to the forum.

Ken is correct with regards to error code 1, you normally get error code 4 as well. You need to check the voltage on the 3 volt battery on the CCC, if needs be replace the battery and load the defaults whilst in the service mode within progamming.

It could be that the jukebox has had an electrical spike resulting in a fault on the sound system.
Error code 1 would not effect the sound other than the jukebox may not play. Try to get into programming and remove all error codes by typing 699.

Alan
