Need some noob control help
« on: July 07, 2013, 02:17:34 pm »
I just put most of a bartop together and I massively screwed up my control settings on a few levels.  I have a 2 player setup with 6 buttons each and 6 admin buttons(1P start, 1P coin, 2P start, 2P coin).  I'm using an Ipac 4 and I wired the 2 "extra" admin buttons to 3P start and 3P coin.  I want to use 3p start and 3p coin as more useful buttons in hyperspin.  This is where I screwed something up.....I used winipac to try to remap/reassign/resomething 3p start and coin.  I ended up remaping my whole control panel as different inputs, some overlapping.  In the middle of all that (when I thought I had fixed it) I tried to change some input settings in hyperspin, then in MAME through the tab menu.  All I want to do now is start over. Can I just delete and re install hyperspin, MAME and winipac or is there an easy fix that i'm just missing?

Any help would be appreciated.

I believe if you have an original copy of your config from whatever MAME your running, just copy and paste to your config folder to replace the one you screwed up.
