Lowest profile buttons needed!!!
« on: June 26, 2013, 02:36:52 pm »
Hi, I have just received my ultralux blue led buttons for my x3 admin buttons (going under the control panel). I have already drilled the holes (wooden panel) and they clash with my top control panel buttons/microswitches!      :hissy:

There is no room for adjustment (tried altering the direction of the mircoswitches) and no room for moving them to another location...  I did measure before hand but didn't account for the overlap of the panel when placed on the cab...

I have tried a searching without joy for the lowest profile buttons that will fit a 28-30mm mounting hole.

Can someone please recommend some buttons? I am UK based but happy to buy from USA. I would prefer a lit button, but at this point I dont mind if it doesn't!

The thread height really doesn't matter as im happy to dremel the wood if needed.

Thanks

I love my gold leaf buttons, though I haven't had any other buttons so my opinion might be biased. You literally have to hold them to your ear to hear them click. The switch fits inside the base, making them slim. Clicking it feels nice too. The only downfall I see is that they are not transparent or led compatible. However, the $2 price tag made me forget about led. Led buttons with leaf switches starts to add up in cost.
