Building a spinner - need some help.
« on: June 23, 2013, 03:14:21 pm »
I have all the parts to make a spinner like the one shown in this  ( http://www.arcade.grugel.com/Simple%20Spinner%20Instruction%20Sheet.pdf ) tutorial but I am having trouble finding an optic board like the optic-1 or an oscar optic board like I've seen used elsewhere.  I don't want to use a mouse hack because I already have an optiwiz that I will use to interface it to my pc.  Any help would be appreciated.

Check your encoder documentation and make sure it works with atari trackballs, if it does then I can sell you can optic board out of one pretty cheap, I have a bunch of centipede trackballs that have good optics, but rusted bearings and worn out rollers.
