You would need the monitor, the moon, the backdrop, the bezel, the 2 way mirror, the blacklight, the boardset, the wiring and the power supply. You would end up paying too much for the miscellaneous pieces to make the restoration work out. You will be able to find all these pieces, but they will add up to more than what makes sense.
If you are anywhere near St. Louis then I have a couple of Deluxe invaders at $100 each that are just missing all the circuit boards, one of them is supposed to be picked up this weekend but the other one is still available.
However if you just wanted to make a mame cabinet or multicade, then the Space Invaders style cabinet isn't a bad choice. They are high grade plywood and look pretty nice and those flat wooden control panels are easy to deal with.
Hey guys.
I, like many of you, have found an empty cabinet that seems to be in fairly good shape on craigslist. It is, what looks to be, an original Space Invaders cabinet. The only thing it has is the cabinet and the CP and coin door. My questions are many but here are a few.
1. Will I be able to find the pieces that go into the cabinet?
2. I know there is the monitor and monitor bezel but what other parts make up the internals of this machine and what are they?
I know this might be a pitfall but for the condition the cab seems to be in it just seems like a great deal for $100. I could be wrong. Thanks for the input.
