I like the concept, but I'll probably wait until the game comes out to buy it instead of funding it.
I used to enjoy driving around aimlessly in 4x4 evolution and have been doing a little of that lately in Fuel.

What turns me off about this game so far is that it supposed to be offroad, but all the videos show is driving on what appears to be a muddy logging road.
Mud is fun in short bursts, but long stretches of inching forward in it aren't.

It has rekindled my interest in buying an old Unimog.....off to ebay.

Well, it looks like the kickstarter succeeded.   Now we play the waiting game to see when it actually becomes available.

So I just bought this game on Steam last night on sale for $10.

I only played it with my son for about 10 minutes with the keyboard no less but the initial reaction was "FUN!".  I got a Jeep type vehicle stuck in the mud right away, and then proceeded to submerge a 6 wheeled truck in a lake, laughing the whole time.

Next step will be to get it going on the cab, but it looks like it has full wheel support (and game-pad support - lists it separately from wheel support), so it shouldn't be an issue.

I've put a few hours into this game now.  Couple of things I wanted to mention to anyone who's interested.

1) Its a full blown simulator.  There isn't any "arcade" to this game.  You get an objective, and you spend a lot of time trying to achieve it.
2) Wheel support is half baked.   Its supports the Logitech G27 - but some controls are missing.  You still need a keyboard and mouse to do some things (like using the winch)
3) Like wheel support, the gamepad support is similar.  More controls are available, but you still need a keyboard and mouse.
4) Its really fun and challenging, but it can get a bit slow.  Getting from point A to point B can take awhile.  Get stuck half way and have to get another vehicle out there to save the first just adds to that.  Then run out of fuel and have to get a tanker out to the other two vehicles to refuel them...  you get the idea.  :)

And to add to all that, the game is still being developed.  There is a BETA channel on Steam that seems to be pretty active.

Still no "in cab" view, but they added full shifter and clutch support!   Although it seems a little buggy..
