Style Jukebox (for PC, iPhone, and Android)
« on: June 02, 2013, 10:12:49 am »
Soooo I got this program installed the other day > http://www.get-jukebox.com/en/index.html
Not much info online (that I had found) or even fan videos for that matter.
I thought I would share some info that I've found/discovered.

I'm looking for a "cool" way, "graphically pleasing" way to get music into my Man Cave > http://imgur.com/a/VXCd0#0

In the past I had planned on using an old CRT ELO touchscreen monitor, a dedicated PC, and Uncle T's amazing free jukebox program.
As t he man cave was completed space was not as...."available" as I thought it was. Somethings had to go, the juke project was one.
However I've never lost the want for a jukebox or just a really cool way to get my music collection integrated downstairs.

I had created a thread prior as I explored options. I pulled out the old Uncle T PC and used Team Viewer on my Android tablet hoping it would react like a touchscreen. However it didn't ! I was really disappointed and not happy with the results.

I was hoping to find some great free software as this Coin-Op community really has so many great programs and utilities, however nothing was found.

ANYWAY................. I see Style Jukebox and give it a shot.

I installed the program on my PC, my iPhone, and my Android tablet.
The program allows  you to access your entire music collection anywhere with account sizes upto 2000 songs.
What I can't seen to figure out is weather or not you can see your entire collection of music on your device and stream it without having to use the cloud storage. Meaning, I plan on only using the device in home over my Wi-Fi connection, never on the go. So I have no need for say "200" songs to be available at any time.

I had seemed to run into issues and do think it is not a software issue, perhaps user error as I was very tired when working with the program.
I could have sworn that when I did the initial install on my PC then iPhone I saw my select folder in it's entirety, about 1500 songs. Now however I've had to uninstall and install and even leaving the PC on for 8 hours last night and perhaps 200 songs are visible, all of which I think are stored on the "cloud."
The same thing remains true for the use on my Android tablet.
I've attempted to contact someone via the feedback option and I'm still waiting on a response.

If indeed my entire collection of music can be made visible and available for play (with or without the cloud limitations) this will be one heck of a program.
Graphically it's a nice looking app. It really looks great on the Android tablet.
One thing I don't like is like iTunes it pulls info from the tags in the song Names/Folder, causing some stuff to be misidentified. I'd like to find a solution to this as I feel it would result in better organization.

One cool thing (and I'll try to post a video later) is the way the program looks and works. You can organize by SONG or ARTIST or ALBUM. So say in song view, you will see the title and cover art if done correctly. You can simply touch the image to build your que, you'll see each time you touch a song its assigned a number (its place inline), once the songs begin to play you get a really nice looking screen with volume slider and cover art, you simply swipe the screen to navigate to the next song. I really like that.

I think the program will need some tweaks, but I hope it grows.

Confirmed with the folks @ Style Jukebox only songs made available on their servers are made available.
Sadly not what I'm looking for.
