WTB a custom built 4 way arcade stick
« on: June 01, 2013, 10:32:39 pm »
Since a 60-in-1 bartop is a bit out of my range for the foreseeable future ($400-$500 or more) and my electronic and carpentry skills are crap (not to mention I don't have any tools or space to do such a project - city life in a small apt) was hoping to get an idea of what someone would charge for what I'm looking for.

Basically I'm looking for a custom built, plug-n-play, USB 4 way arcade stick w/ 2 or 3 action buttons and 2 more buttons (one for credit and one for start).

I've found some different things farting around online and I have an idea of what I want.

Basically some thing like the one on the left in this pic http://www.yourhomearcade.com/images/11%20Inch%20PacMan%20style%20Control%20Panel%20Set%20Complete.png (those are 11 inch panels I do believe)

but with a Fix It Felix Jr type control panel graphics - just like this pic:  http://www.ridicgraphics.com/2012/forums/fifjr/FIFjr_dko2.jpg  (taking out the instructions on the left side and leaving the functions above the action buttons blank (similar to this version of the Donkey Kong control panel - http://www.texasarcades.com/store/image/cache/data/Options/COP-DK-200x200.jpg  sorry it's the best pic I could find

if it would be more aesthetically pleasing (or quite frankly a better design) I wouldn't be opposed to having the two extra buttons on the bottom edge of the panel instead of in the top right side (like in the first pic, if it would detract from the design too much, but if the two little buttons like in the first one wouldn't detract, then that would work too :)

I know it's asking alot, but was just wondering what something like this would cost (parts/labor/shipping).

Thanks for looking :)

Try messaging ebarlow99 - he has a thread offering custom made control panels here ( http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,132446.0.html ) so should be able tomake what you are wanting or at least get the cabinet made so you can just add the buttons, joystick, encoder to it.
