visual pinball problem

ok i have vp 9 version and all the new stuff to run it.. it runs fine outside of maximus arcade... but when i run it from maximus arcade and exit my screen stay black and buttons freeze up.. i can right mouse button click and hit exit emulation then  it goes back to maximus but the buttons still wont work so i have to exit out of maximus completely

i only have mame on it and mame i press a button i assigned and it exits fine back to maximus.. but i need visual pinball to do the same..

i noticed theres an exit hook i can type in in maximus configure .. is there some sort of hook i can enter to make sure it exits if so what do i put in there? or another solution?

What key have you set maximus to exit with?    If you use ESC it will often hang with a black screen.   Use End as suggested and do not change the setting in VP and it will exit just fine.

i used Q as an exit in the maximus exit emulator.. i can rmb click then select exit emulation and it goes back to maximus  but my joystick and all the controls lock up.. i can only scroll the games with the mouse and select them...

its really weird it worked bbefore press Q or the button i choose to exit the emulation and it went back to maximus then all of a sudden next day black screen.. and computer freezes only way to get off it is to restart the pc.. so it has to be in maximus that isnt allowing it to exit..

there is in the preferances a exit hook for vp but i dont know the code for it %somethingsomething..

so i type end in maximus preferences as the exit for emulation? aka what it was stock.. but end is used for pinball doors meaning you press end and they you can adjust the volume and so forth on your table.. if i use end while in pinball it will say door open or screw it up.. but i might try it anyway..

I just set DOOR (end) to none and end will not bother VP.
