Trackball on 2-player cocktail control panel
« on: May 31, 2013, 01:39:38 pm »
I'm a newbie designing my first MAME cabinet build.  I want to go with a 2-player cocktail design.  (I'm leaning toward the Ultimate Cocktail II kit from North Coast.)  I would like to include the U-Trak Flush Mount trackball centered on the control panel with the Servo-Stik and four buttons (two rows of two).  I'm concerned all of this won't fit on the CP.  Every CP design I've seen for the 2-player cocktail has the TB on the right, which seems to be a poor ergonomic design.  Has anyone had any experience putting the TB in the center and does the Flush Mount design provide more space on the top or does the machinery underneath still take too much space?  Thanks in advance.
