Old cab needs some Video Help!
« on: May 30, 2013, 07:09:03 pm »
I have full cab with a Betson Imperial 27" Arcade monitor, a custom CP linked to the PC with a mini pac.  It has worked great for a long time.  So after 7 or so years of faithful service my old Athlon 1300 PC died on me.  I had spare HP PC sitting around and installed that.  I basically just copied over the directories.   The mini-pac/joystics/track ball and spinner all work good.  The problem is the video.

It has been so long since I played with the settings that I can't quite remember how I set it up.  XP comes up fine (800X600) and my front in menu works good.  The problems is the games themselves.  I would say 20% of my games work great.  The rest ether do not show video (I get the monitors built in error message that it can't decide what resolution to run at) or the games come up rotated 90 degrees.  Do I need to start over from scratch (ROMS are at least 7 years old) or is there some fixes I can try to resolve this.  I really need my twin cobra fix!  Thanks.

Hi.
I use a betson multisync also.
When you first setup 7 years ago, did you use an arcade VGA and mame resolution tool.
If so, you should have created ini files for each game.
See if you can get your d hard drive hooked up to the new computer to check all that.
