Is there a low cost alternative for the Perfect Solutions switcher kit?

The Perfect Solutions switcher kit ($440 from HAPP here http://na.suzohapp.com/amusement_pro...ies/95-2807-00) is what I would like to use when combining 2 trackball games (Silver Strike Bowling, Target Toss Bags, Golden Tee, Power Putt, etc) but the price tag just seems way over the top for what it actually does.

Is there anyone working on a low cost "solution?" At this point it's so much more affordable for me to switch the jamma harness and trackball wire manually on each of the boards when changing games versus paying $450 for a button. With that being said the convenience of having a button to switch games cannot be denied. Just thought I would ask if I'm missing something here. Thanks!

Nice work on that.  Looks interesting.  I think where my problem lies is with the trackballs as each i/o board will have it's own trackball wire coming from it.  That's were the 2 in 1 JAMMA kits fail me.  Thanks for sharing!

As the second beer was kicking in I was thinking about it further. If you happen to have a jamma switching unit already and as long as the boards power down when not selected. You then could say put GT in slot one along with using just 3 relays to split trackball signal as pictured and when you switch over to silver strike you wire the relays to the SS 12v jamma power to engage the relays to switch over trackball connections.

The lowest cost alternative to this that i can think of would be one of those old school KVM switches, the type that had the big clunking knob on it.  Not as fancy as the relay solution but it'l get the job done.  Now that i think of it you may even be able to use one of the newer button type as well, depending on what type of hardware is inside.
