New digitally indexable leds!
« on: May 25, 2013, 01:49:31 am »
Since there has been a lot of talk about this and one of the other vendors was concerned about discussing products within the thread that was started... I thought I would start a new thread :)

So what's coming up!
We have numerous products that I will be posting pictures and videos of over the next several weeks.
The name for this new line of products is the Kaimana Series.  Kaimana means diamond and these LEDs have the color and brilliance of fine diamonds.
1) Kaimana 44 and 555 bulb replacments, Coin doors, pinball machines and just general cabinet lighting.  These simple bulbs fit into a standard socket and can then be daisy chained to allow for color control.  Please note we have custom diffusion caps available also.

2) Kaimana J, this is for Japanese style buttons and provides an underlighting feature.  Two LEDs are present on each board and both are set by default to act as the same point, however, with one jumper and removing one trace, the two leds can be put in serial communication allowing individual control.

3) Kaimana Adapter, very hany little device that allows existing LEDs with 5V demand to be integrated into the serially indexed chain.  Has the standard data in and out, but allows for a device to be connected by four pin connector(power and 3 controlled grounds)

The adapter can be used with our original IL-lumination boards, the IL-lumination 2 boards (to be shown soon), the traditional tropical spots (usuable in Chinese style LED buttons), or with our HOKU line of RGB ball tops.

The controller board will be capable of controlling more LEDs in a string than any other controller designed for Mame light control.  We will be integrating into LED Blinky for ease of control, and integration to Mame set ups.  Our LEDs and controller will be usable with a variety of other parts, including the very popular indexed strips, or you can run our leds from your own arduino interface.   Please ask any questions, I expect the lights to be on the site within the next 1-2 weeks, followed closely by the controller board.

Will all your products be based on the WS2811?

We were waiting for the release of this product platform to post pictures, sorry for the delay.

Matsadona, for now we are working with 2811's.   We have tested several different chips and there are some advantages to a number of different RGB control chips however, the 2811 platform has a wide variety of products available.  It is a bit more difficult to control.  Because of this we decided to focus on creating a very high end controller and offer people a wide variety of solutions....

Here are some examples of what we can do :)

LEDs are arriving this week, controllers will be available shortly.

Thanks for the answer and update.
That pinball track is certainly going to be interesting.
