Pacman cocktail for sale
« on: July 08, 2007, 04:21:00 pm »
I have an old pacman cocktail cab in fair conditions that i would like to sell, the images speak for themselves, cab its in fair conditions, few scratches, no glass or underlay, but for a good offer i will buy and replace the glass and a brand new underlay for you. This is and original namco cab in very good conditions, as soon has i get the glass and the artwork i will post new pictures with the works done. Dont worry to much about shipping , will work something out..... thanks for watching.

May I ask for a roll call of those who consider that cocktail cabinet in "fair" condition?

How about a roll call of those who consider that cocktail cabinet in "atrocious" condition?

Thank you.

And those $10 PC to JAMMA boards?

I apologise if i never could make possible all those promises about the neogeos or the pc to jamma connections too, but i did try my best ,unfortunately i had very hard times in those days that's why i couldn't work something out for anyone, i never lie to anyone also, and i never took anyones money, this is a good deal i can handle and if someone made a deal with me in the past please verify I'm someone that can be trusted.

Do the boards and monitor in this even work?

And for once, pinballjim is spot on with his price: you would be lucky to get $150 out of this as-is.

That's why i was thinking about gettin 350 for the game in good working conditions with glass and brand new artwork.
So here's the help im asking for....
Its this game worth 350 shipped to allmost anywhere,
Remember , its and original namco cab with the original game PCB,artwork its in bad condition but i will provide glass and generic artwork.
I'm i asking too much?  If so ill rather keep the game with me for another 20 years, maybe it will be worth allot more in those days.... ;D
And if im asking for too much , lets just close this thread and everyone have a nice day... thanks for watching anyway  ;D

I think with a cab that beat up, missing original sticks, clips, etc. you'll spend more fixing it that you could make selling it. The cab is maybe worth a few dollars, original coin door is worth some, a working boardset is worth a bit and a burnt monitor not much at all. In your place I would restore and keep it or part it out. I can't see anybody paying $500 for this thing (once you factor shipping in).

And, frankly, I'll bet a number of folks are skeptical about dealing with you. You may not have ripped anybody off, but I can't remember the last time you came through on a deal. And, no pics showing working board and monitor ...

Good luck, though.

I'm not a thread crapper, but I compelled to point out how bad that cabinet looks.  Drilling out the CPs to put in Happ crappy sticks just ruins the whole thing.  The monitor is fried.  Bleh.

Maybe I'm not seeing something... but that cabinet is more dirty than horrible.  Dirt cleans up.  It's not like the thing is all chipped up or water damaged.  The prices given are probably good, though, since top glass and art cost $$.

No, I meant the prices given by others.  Not the asking price.

Besides, he did say 350 with new glass and artwork.  That's not too far off.

Maybe it's me, but the top looks rather damaged to me. And if it is as damaged as I think it is, then I would suspect damage elsewhere.

Could be, could be glue and/or felt remnants making it look worse in the pic.  That would definitely take manual inspection to see if the actual wood is damaged.

Yes... unseen art and glass. The art is $15. Any bets on how good it's going to look? I mean, come on. Sharidan is right. If the dude can do underlay art for $15 - there's his money maker.

Denver, just get the glass and art on there, clean it up and post new photos. If that's what you intend to do, then do it, and you'll get much better response.  The skepticism here is just people being smart shoppers (you know, ever heard of "buyer beware"?)

If it does work, a new piece of glass and cheap artwork could possibly land you your asking price locally.

Um... am I the only one here who thinks this guy is total BS?

First, if it woks, turn the damn thing on and snap a photo.  You already took other shots.  I get a nice snap of your Chuck Taylor's, but no screen shot?

Then we get this laundry list of things he is going to do to make it look good.   :blah:

"I need cash ASAP, but I have relatives that will do $100+ worth of work on the machine before I sell it."
"Oh yeah, can you do that and show us photos?"
"No, trust me."

I guess we're just supposed to take his word that it works great (minus a little burn in).

Anyone who buys this deserves what he gets.  It will arrive (maybe) totally trashed w/o a working board (or any board for that matter).

I have an idea... use your great UPS rate and ship the cab as is to san diego.  Once received, I'll send you a money order for $750.  Make sure UPS will deliver to a PO box.

Garbage.

Thanks  ;D Now I'm gonna keep the game and fix'it with my "cheap" artwork...... ill post new pictures of the whole thing, and in that way everybody will see that I'm not lying , i don't think theres much money for me in selling artwork CUZ i know i can get it cheap, but if i can get cpo's ,bezels or any artwork for 15 ,20, how many sales do i have to make to get a good buck?

Um... am I the only one here who thinks this guy is total BS?

I don't own a digital camera, i had to ask mi friend for his cellphone to take those pictures, i have to ask him again, once i get the pictures, i will post them, i never thought it was such a sin not  posting a picture like that, and you don't have to be a smart'ass so that people can notice you. Just to let you know the glass i can get for 40 bucks @ piece of template, 30 @ piece of security or 15 for regular glass, artwork, i got my man Issac that can do the whole artwork thing for me for 15 bucks, so that would be 55 bucks spent at the most expensive scenario, not bad, I'm just glad i have to ways to make'it possible .... have a nice day.... ;D

And by the way if i said the game is working, its because its working, maybe pictures are not the greatest pictures of my life but if you look closer the wood its not beat up , the tmolding its in great conditions but the cpo drilling i had to admit that that was wrong for the cab....

i need the following if you still have them for sale:

I am working on a very important restoration of an original Pacman cocktail arcade for a charity event. We are keeping in tune with having everything on this restoration FULLY original. The parts we are looking for would need to be original and in FANTASTIC condition. The parts needed are listed below:

1. Complete original power supply with transformers and board in excellent condition
2. The 2 white/opaque plexi's at control panels
3. Missing original wooden base in excellent condition (Please see attached pic to refer to missing base, and base needed)
4. The 3 original speaker plates in excellent condition.

Willing to pay top dollar, but it is for charity, so I don't wanna get hosed either if you know what I mean!

My email is sasha@phyzex.com. Please email me detailed pics, item condition, and your best price.

Best regards,
Sasha Sekretov

I have an old pacman cocktail cab in fair conditions that i would like to sell, the images speak for themselves, cab its in fair conditions, few scratches, no glass or underlay, but for a good offer i will buy and replace the glass and a brand new underlay for you. This is and original namco cab in very good conditions, as soon has i get the glass and the artwork i will post new pictures with the works done. Dont worry to much about shipping , will work something out..... thanks for watching.

Dude, it's like a 6 year old thread.  Sorry, no like about it.  It's 6 years old.  Besides the fact that this dude got banned for bad transactions he hasn't been active since 2009.  So, yeah, about that.  Best of luck.

Using "Regards" in closing is the single most common indicator of a Nigerian scam. Not saying that is what the thread bumper is doing, I am just pointing it out.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.
