Good use of Closemul
« on: May 21, 2013, 12:29:36 pm »
Hello
I'm having hard time trying to making works Closemul correctly in mala for EpsxE

So I'd like to see how people who got it right have made it work correctly?

I got closemul.exe in my EPSxe folder, i got the closemul.ini too with the esc key as char 52  (ASCII code for the left button of my X-arcade dual stick)

I choose in the Other emu config Executable as Epsxe folder/Closemul.exe
then in execution command line : epsxe.exe -nogui etc...

As a result it launches the emu with the game selected, but cannot quit the emulator when the key is pressed...
Why that?

I'm not running epsxe, but on the emulators that I am using closemul with, I launch it right on the command line before the emulator with a space after it.

command line:
closemul.exe epsxe.exe -nogui

Not sure what you mean by "Executable as Epsxe folder/Closemul.exe", but you don't need closemul listed anywhere else.

In fact I've already tried the command line that you listed above : it didn't work : the emulator is launching the game but the choosen exit key does not did a thing. I still need to use esc key to exit the emu..(and as I'm playing on a Cab, I don't have a keyboard immediatly available)

So I guess i have to add some more info in closemul.ini, but what should I add?

I have mine for other emus, in this case Visual Pinball, like this:

Executable: D:\games\VP9\Closemul.exe

command line: vpinball908.exe -play -"%path%\%rom%.%ext%"

And that was what i was saying in the first post : I tried this way too, but the emu will not close :(

Is there any special lines into your closemul.ini?

Not that I know (and perhaps would know) of.  Don't know, beau.
