Looking for a working chassis. I think it's a 25" monitor but its not measuring right. Anyway it's out of a operation thunder bolt game.

I just picked up two of these today but as far as I know they are for 19 inch monitors. I don't know if there are different versions for different sized tubes. I'm not sure they work. I'm fairly certain I'll have to do work to one or both of them. however I only need one eventually. I picked it up to go with a donor tube that supposedly is compatible with it, but i'm probably a couple weeks from verifying that

however, if you aren't in a huge hurry or don't find one and one of these will work for you, I'll keep you in mind. my plan is to make sure they both work, and keep one as a spare, but plans can change.

I can show pics of one later. the other one is still on its way here.

I offer cause I didn't find ANY for sale anywhere, and then two fell in my lap. the one I have now is missing a resister at minimum. other than that it looks in good shape. I got it from a guy who's had it sitting on his shelf for ages and never tested it.

Ok mine doesn't work so I can use parts. It has a new fly back and hot transistor and it still won't turn on I just want one that is gonna work with little to no work on it.

Not that I know of but could a cap cause it to not even power up? I thought the caps just helped the picture mostly.

they do. as far as I know. I was just asking cause it would be kind of odd to replace the flyback and not the caps.

I also have a hantarex polo chassis that is smashed but can be scavenged for parts. smashed and no flyback. it was a freebie.

I know this is a stupid question but did you check the fuse?

Mine has a fan on top. Guess I could give a cap kit a try. Yes checked fuses and a bunch of resistors. Couldn't really find anything wrong. So I read it could be the hot so I tried that still nothing then the fly back. Still nothing I'm stumped. Ill try the caps.

have you asked over on KLOV?

also a guy linked me to a troubleshooting guide for chassis, including this model. it might help you.

http://www.coinop.org/KB.aspx/KB/MonitorTech/

you have to log in to download but they looked really useful.

edit: also this link:

I used that second link as a guide and checked what I could. I'm hopeing a cap kit will work. But I'm skeptical on it being a cap. Guess I should have posted this in monitor repair and asked for help first.

you may have to go that route. I haven't seen any working hantarex chassis for sale. even the non working/untested ones are scarce.

friend just sent me a pic of the back of a cab with a 25 inch hatarex monitor in it, but I'm pretty sure its a working one and he wouldn't want to part it out, but I asked him about it anyway just in case.
