Make shift pre-made pedestal?
« on: May 16, 2013, 04:22:34 pm »
Anyone know of something I can just buy that I can stick my Control panel on.

Something like this.

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Catskill-Craftsmen-Promo-Birch-Cuisine-Cart-21-in-Kitchen-Island-1529/100476671#.UZU_rrXvvEQ

Its got drawers for the keyboard and mouse, and a cabinet for the PC itself.  With a few modifications it could be usable.

How tall would it have to be.

I know its much cheaper to just make one, but I really don't have the time, or the skill to make one.

Not sure how tall your panel is, but guessing 8-10".   That cabinet is 34" tall, so that would put your buttons and such around 42-44".

Given your requirements, that cabinet is perfect.  Just throw in some supports to brace the control panel so it doesn't fall off.
