Question regarding HS Front End Games list
« on: May 16, 2013, 02:57:33 pm »
Does anyone know how to fix this issue where when I try to enter mame within HyperSpin it just refreshes the page?

I think it is because the list of games File that HS needs to reference is missing somehow.  Does anyone know what that list is called? (where you can edit it yourself ina program like  TextEdit++ or something? Thanks.

Do you have speakers connected? I know it sounds stupid but Hyperspin has a known bug of returning from a chosen menu back to the main menu when no speakers are connected.  :dizzy:

Yes I do have speakers connected, the sound is working correctly as well.

Edit: this type of list is what I am talking about:

I think that list is missing, but I don't remember what it is called, or how to check..

In the HyperSpin folder there is a folder called Databases. There should be a folder called MAME. It should contain a file called MAME.xml. This is the list of games shown in the MAME menu. If the file is missing, Hyperspin should warn you though...

I figured out what the problem was, I had a MAME folder, but the list I made was a different name, all I did to fix it was delete the MAME folder, and then rename my list MAME. Now it works. Thanks for the help tho.
