Street Fighter 4 AE control problem
« on: May 14, 2013, 04:44:06 pm »
Hi people,  I have put SF4AE on my cabinet and it works and plays perfect, but for some reason I cant use my control panel buttons to skip the intro on start up unless I press enter on the keyboard, seems like the control panel doesn't work.  After I get to the game select screen the control panel works perfectly.  My encoder is a Xin-Mo USB (windows detects it as a joystick) anyone have any ideas?

Thank you

TheManuel

That is how the game was designed.  When you use a keyboard with it, "Enter" is the only that gets you past the menu, but when you use gamepads, that action is no longer hard-coded to the keyboard and you can past it with the gamepad button you assigned to "Hard Kick / Select" function.  It is for this reason that I decided to use the xbox gamepad emulator posted in the stickies, even though the game supports keyboards.  My panel also uses a keyboard encoder.  The emulator is painless to set up and works great.

Good luck.

You did say that in your post.  Obviously, I can't read.
Let's hop you find a solution, perhaps playing with the button assignments.  Those little things always nag me as well.
