  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Hi, I have a Rowe R-93 Jukebox. The disco ball no longer rotates and I was wondering if there was a way to check it to makes sure it is the motor before ordering a new part. Also, if it is the motor, where do I purchase a new one? Thanks!

I am not too familiar with the R93 disco ball motor, but AMI is fairly consistent with its animation motors.  I bet the motor looks something like the one in the link below (which you can order a replacement).

If that is the case then it is a standard 110V motor. You should be able to test power going to it before ordering a new one.

Good luck

Hi John,

That link offers a motor at about a third of the price of a Rowe Ami animation motor.
The original poster does need however to check that the motor shaft size is suitable.
