CD's made using iTunes for Rowe Ami 100 CD Jukebox

I am wondering if I can create CD's using iTunes and CD-R cd's that will play in my jukebox.  If so, do I need to make sure it's at any preferred speed or disc format?  (Audio or MP3?)  I've never used personally made cd's before, so I'm not sure of what I'm doing or if it's supposed to work.

I had good luck with using WMP to reburn mp3 to audio discs.  It wasn't perfect, but probably in the neighborhood of 80% successful.  Downside was that it was rarely "this disc works, that one doesn't" and more along the lines of some tracks skip on various discs.

Use the "Audio CD" burn format. Formats like MP3 and others won't be playable on a Rowe jukebox.

The only thing I would suggest is keeping your CDs' play length down to 60 minutes or less (I think iTunes shows you the total play length of the CD you are about to burn). Even though most CD-R discs have "80 minutes" printed on the label, the original CD Audio standard only allowed for CDs to be 60 minutes long. Therefore older CD players from the 1980's and early 1990's had a hard time playing CDs that were more than 60 minutes long-- they start skipping towards the end of the disc, or they just simply stop playing when the counter hits 60:00. Depending on what kind of Rowe jukebox you have (I'm assuming a CD-100 series) it may or may not have this limitation.

the CD PRO heads pick up burned CD's alright. No problems reading the disks or with skipping. Can't vouch for the older heads...I know there was a time where some CD players wouldn't play burned disks at all. I entered the juke world a little late in the game.

It might not be as much of an issue now as it was with older media, but, try not to burn them at full speed, slow it down a bit if you can. the burn takes a little longer, but you can end up with a disk that reads better.

I'll add that I have been extremely happy with my move to the MP3 adapter from cdadapter.com.  Instead of disc 01, you're selecting folder 01.  Instead of track 12, you're selecting file 12.  Works really well, and pause between songs is only 1-2 seconds.
