Speakers for Mame Bartop (only a 3" clearance)
« on: May 09, 2013, 11:24:58 am »
Not even 3" clearance in the marquee section, maybe more like 2.75" to give some breathing room.

What options do I have?  Most important is cheap cost.

Was thinking maybe this amp: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=310-300

And then can it be used with one of these speakers?  (I don't understand Ohms): http://www.parts-express.com/cat/midrange-midbass-full-range-speakers/16?sort=pasc

I have a tight space for speakers on my cab and I went with Logitech S220s and have been very happy with them.
They're cheap and sound pretty decent. Even the sub is pretty small.
Here is a link for them at newegg, though I see they're out of stock but maybe someone else has them. I think I got mine at bestbuy.

Nice thing about them also is that they have a volume pod that can be remoted for accessing the volume. I have mine on the top rear slanted part of my cab so it's not in view but I can easily reach up and adjust the volume as needed.
