Who has started/completed their cabinet and realised the possibilities of their new found woodworking skills to furniture building?

I'm already thinking that if it goes well building shelf units and cabinets, with their straight lines, must be simpler than the arcade cabinets you are all building.

I might start with a shelving unit to hold TV and consoles once I'm done with the cabinet. Who knows, maybe I'll never need to go to Ikea and the like again. It's got to be worth it just for that!

Hmmm. Perhaps I do too much thinking and not enough building. I'm basing this on an average-at-best sawboard which is all I've build so far since the school lesson fishing tackle box, lamp stand and top-heavy mug tree!
