advice or suggestions for a newcomer

Hello everyone!

I'm new to this hobby although I've been kicking around the idea of building a custom arcade cabinet for years.

A week ago I picked up a 3koam 25" zback for the cost of gas and spent my free moments lurking and reading here. I've been planning out what I'm doing to the cabinet and I've hit a roadblock of sorts. I can't decide on my choice in monitor.

An actual arcade monitor is out of the question but I'm torn between using a 4:3 21" LCD monitor or picking up a 25" CRT and stripping it out of its case. I know the pros and cons of either choice ie: weight and limited resolution of the CRT but a nice large monitor or a smaller viewing area with easier mounting and less weight in the cabinet with the LCD.

I'm looking for personal opinions and/or advice from anyone that has had a similar quandary. Thanks in advance
