Lexan trimming with Dremel
« on: November 10, 2003, 11:18:54 am »
Hey all,

In the process of finishing up my control panel right now  ;D, but ran into a slight snag.  I am using Joystick mounting plates and decided instead of routing them to be flush with the control panel, to have the lexan go around them instead.  The black dimple finish matched my scheme very well and figured I'd go this route.  Anyway, after cutting the lexan to match everything, I realized the I had cut the corners a little to sharp with the jig saw and now the lexan doesn't quite fit over the mounting plates (it's close, just need to trim out the corners a little bit).  Is it possible to do this with a Dremel and what Dremel bit (if any) would work best to do this?  Is there another tool that would work better?  I contemplated Jigsawing it out a little more, but felt that this was overkil just for this.  Any thoughts?  Thanks  :)

A file would probably be better though a dremel with a steady hand would also do it.
