Lighted gun game cabs
« on: April 19, 2013, 08:36:46 pm »
I just picked a beat up Konami Lethal Enforcers cab with power supply and monitor. Just wondering if anybody has converted one of these cabs to a MAME cab?

I've not long since had one of these cabs too, and was wondering the same.
From what I've read, the best options for using the Happ guns with a pc are to either put an Aimtrak module inside them or use a usb2gun board from GlobalVR.
The latter being quite pricey unless you find a used one.
Can anyone with the usb2gun / Happ guns / pc setup confirm how accurate it is as well please?

With the usb2gun, the guns show up as joysticks.
Only one person on this board has ever bought one and they couldn't get it working properly.
TBH, they didn't have a lot of experience with these type of things though.

I'd love to see someone with arcade tech experience and a good understanding of setting up analog controls in MAME get their hands on it and do some serious testing.

I was also wondering if anyone actually used the monitor in it's usual set up which is laying down with the mirror facing forward?

I've been having a search around to see if this is even possible. By the looks of it there isn't a software way to do this, however correct me if I'm wrong but could you not just flip the horizontal yoke wires on the arcade monitor?

There are a few users using mirrored setups as a regular cab.
It has it's headaches, but they've worked through some of them.
Not sure if any of them are using guns.

Would you know who exactly? And I won't be using the light guns. Just thought out would be less work to move the monitor upright but if its too much of a headache to leave it I dont mind moving it upright.

:-[ Duh didn't even think to look in the FAQ's,Thanx
I hadn't even tested the monitor in the cab but does anybody know if these mirrored cabs have the monitors already mirrored or was it the game board that mirrored the image?
