Ipac question
« on: April 10, 2013, 03:51:09 pm »
Just getting back into the arcade scene and I'm buying a arcade panel (2 player with all the buttons and a classic joystick) and has a I-pac. I noticed it's an older I-pac so I was just wondering is there any watch outs to look out for and what's the difference from the older ones to the newer one.
Thanx any help is appreciated

The old ones work now just as well as they did then, in my experience.

I bought mine back in 2003 and its still working like the day I installed it. I would be more worried about worn out buttons and sticks.

Thanx Buick! I just bought the control panel and just realized it's a SlikStik Classic 8) but with out the trackball and spinner. Works great! Now I need to get those components and it's on like Donkey Kong!

good to hear

I mentioned about the buttons & sticks b/c my sticks from 03 (I think I bought them from Ultimarc) between the two, player 1 has most certainly loosened up more then player 2 has. (more use)

The main differences from the older boards are:

Supports 32 inputs instead of 28
Supports power, sleep, volume up/down, mouse buttons.
