Gamelists not following mame game collection settings
« on: April 03, 2013, 06:13:46 pm »
Hello,
In my game collection settings for MAME I've said to only include master copies, to avoid having 50 of the same game listed. This works fine.

However, when I create a gamelist (I have one for fighters, platformers, etc) and it is displayed it does not filter out the non-masters, e.g. I end up with 30 copies of street fighter, etc.

Is there any way to achieve this without manually updating every item, because I'd not only have hundreds to do but figure out which ones were the masters that I had to play in the first place.

Of course, the file is binary so you can't easily edit it, and as soon as you update the roms/lists you've lost all your editing...

Thanks.
