Sideways Oscar Mounting Plate
« on: November 09, 2003, 03:33:48 pm »
I was planning on using an Oscar mounting plate and joystick restrictors on my control panel, but I neglected to put enough room between the joystick and buttons for it to fit if positioned horizontally.  Can anybody think of a reason why it wouldn't work if turned vertically?  The joystick would be sideways, but you wouldn't be able to tell while playing, and I'd just rewire the stick so that what's normally right is up, and so on.  Am I missing anything?

I had the same problem....I didn't realize it until after I'd ordered it and they showed up.  It works the same, vertical or horizontal.  So, to answer your question, if you've got room to mount it vertically, you've got room for it.
