Wanted: Journey PCB-set
« on: April 01, 2013, 02:56:42 pm »
Hi everybody.

I am searching for a Journey PCB-set. Can be a non worker, I hope some of my friends are able to fix it. Must be shipped to Germany, will pay the cost, of course :)

I bought my grail, a Journey-cab, in USA and had it shipped to Germany.

Well somewhere on the voyage from the private seller (he shipped the right thing!) to the harbour the PCB-set turned from this:

to this piece of ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---:

This makes me very sad and I lost lots of trust today :(

Anybody here willing to sell a spare PCB-set?

That CAN'T be the same boardset!

it's missing a rom. (white stickers covered at the top.) and no "brady" sticker on the photo.

but yes, it can't be the same. unless they shipped it at the bottom of a flooded boat.

That's what I'm saying. Whatever he saw in the photo is NOT what he was sent. Do you have any recourse, Luigi?

That sucks man. I hope the rest is all working at least. I'm sure you will find the board. I've waited months to a year or so to for a rare board before. Just don't stop believing (Hold on to the feeling)  8)

give it a good cleaning and see what it looks like. A replacement ROM could be burned and slotted in the empty space. it may not be as bad as it looks. you never know unless you try right?!

Thanks for your kind words, guys  :)

Ouch, that set at ebay is far from what I am willing (and able) to pay  :-\
Maybe it's mine....the mounting plate is missing, too  ;D

My search has been forwarded to seomone who might have a spare set.

I disassembled the boards and found stickers with '2 Tigers'. Unfortunately they use different video- and cpu-boards. But there might be a solution to turn the set into Journey.

All involved (two) parties (pick up at the private seller, arranging the shipping) assure it didn't happen while they had the cab. But one of them offered a clean working Two Tiger-boardset.

yeah, don't stop believing....again  ::)
