Wiring question
« on: March 20, 2013, 08:50:50 pm »
Hi all,

I'm getting ready to upgrade my modular control panel,  and switch to Electric Ice 2 buttons with RGB connectors.  The issue I'm facing,  if I understand the wiring right,  is that each button would have 3 wires + ground,  leaving me with needing to use 4 keystone jacks for each 7 button panel just for lighting.

I remember reading here about people using molex connectors for modular implementations,  and was thinking of using a single molex connector with 22 pins for lighting so that I end up with one connector for lighting and one for the switches.  Is this possible and advisable?  If so,  any suggestions where I might find a connector?

Thanks!

Yup. Check out the wiring in the TwoHeaded Beast. I prefer Molex Micro-fit connectors.

That's an absolutely amazing cabinet!

Any suggestions on where to pick up those 24 pin micro-fit?  I tried google but all I'm seeing are ones with fewer pins :(

Molex.com. request some samples and don't forget the terminal pins.
