JAMMA board and Trackball connection

I have a new version of a 60 in 1 JAMMA board - I believe that the PCB has a direct connector for a trackball - is this true?

cajunarcade, etc sell a pre-made connector for about 5 bucks. or you can just splice in the wires that come with the trackball into the player 2 UDLR wires.
