Music / Ambience lag in Maximus
« on: March 02, 2013, 06:38:04 pm »
Hi,

Ive been using a custom theme for a long time now, but want to spice it up a bit with some music and new images.

Ive run in to a problem where max will load the ambience music after about 8 seconds too late. That is, the intro screen will load, max will sound off the boing boing sound effect, and im waiting like 8-10 seconds for the music to kick in / start playing.

Is there a way to load this music straight up after the intro screen?
As in, have it play immediately. Cheers guys.

Dave.

To anyone who is experiencing this delay in maximus arcade, here is a slight work around that will play the music straight away:

Open preferences, under miscellaneous, there is an option to skip the intro/welcome screen.
Tick this box, and max will boot straight to your emulator screen and play the music file in the ambience folder straight away.

You wont have the welcoming sound of max and the moving logo, but you can try and use a short video instead as an intro.
hope this helps people.
