Question about ground requirement on Clays Multijamma Switcher
« on: February 19, 2013, 09:58:59 am »
I am getting ready to hook up one of Clays MultiJamma switchers. His instructions say that you "Must" connect the ground from all power supplies in the cabinet to the switch board. Is this just a safety mechanism to not fry the boards or is it required for the switch board to function properly?

I would think that it serves both purposes.  If the grounds are not connected the voltages that are not referenced would float and could cause damage or malfunction.
