Video output bright on Football Champ PCB
« on: February 14, 2013, 11:54:53 am »
Hi,

First post here and I apologise if this is in the wrong sub-forum (or even website!) but I have had trouble finding a reliable source of help on arcade boards.
I recently picked up a 'tested working' Football Champ PCB and having tried it out on my super gun, it outputs video quite brightly.
The board otherwise works OK and all the video is still visible, but everything is very bright, almost saturated. It's not the super gun as I've tested it with other boards, and it's not the TV's settings.
The Football Champ PCB appears to have a couple of broken capacitors on the board, one has blown its top and another is squashed.
Would replacing these capacitors solve the brightness issue or should I be looking elsewhere for hints as to the problem?
I will likely replace the capacitors anyway but would appreciate if there's anything else I should check for.

Thanks!
