Who makes an Ikari Warrior clone 8-Way Rotary controller?
« on: February 12, 2013, 01:31:35 am »
Is there a company that makes an 8-Way Rotary controller controller, just like the one on Ikari Warriors, that would work on a computer?

Thanks.

I don't remember seeing an Ikari Warriors LS-30 available from a vendor recently, but used ones show up in Buy/Sell/Trade and KLOV sometimes.

Not the same handle as the LS-30, but Happ makes a 12-position mechanical rotary stick (P/N 50-5618-00) that is electrically the same.

Divemaster127 has them here on his site -- PM him to confirm it's not the optical version P/N 50-5619-00 since the order page has both pics and talks about both products, but lacks "radio buttons" to select which you want. (You might want to fix that, Gary.   ;D)

Mounting info here.

Thanks.

I don't understand how a person would twist it if you hold it like a normal stick. With the original handle you would grab it from the top which is way easier to twist. Am I missing something?

Thanks

There's a thread asking if there's a way to convert the Happ's round handle to the LS-30's hexagonal grip, but I don't recall seeing any good answers other than this, thisthis, or this.

Warning: Linked thread contains Driverman alter-ego Gamuhar posts.  Scroll up or down from the linked posts at your own risk -- you might catch teh krazy:dizzy:

Several videos of the LS-30 and the Happ Rotary Mechanical.
