i,ve set up a mame cab with a j-pac before now  i,am goin to try with
usb Input controller pcb V2.1 just like to know if anyones tryed one of these before..?
as i,am havin abit of trouble with it...some of the controlls work and most don,t in mala
it works in mame but when it comes to say move joystick left&right or ok to start
it don,t work i have to do it from a keyboard.

And you say they work in mame just fine? 

Have you tried reinstalling mala? That seems to help me when I have these type of troubles.

yeah they work in mame but still need to start a game in mame by keyboard...
no not tryed reinstalling mala i,ll try it asap

That has nothing to do with Mala.

That is your mappings in MAME.  If you have multiple keyboard enabled in mame.ini, it will only accept control from the specific keyboard the button is mapped to.  (keyboard #1, Keyboard #2, etc).  Your jpac shows up as a different keyboard.  Either disable multiple keyboards in mame.ini or remap all your controls in MAME.  Keep in mind that if you unplug your keyboard, the numbers will change.

If you don't have a MAME.ini file in your mame folder, google how to create one.

i,ve not got mulitiple keyboard in my mame.ini...?
i,am using a USB Input PCB - MAME & Custom Input Compatible V2.1   not a j-pac
also tryed the tab button in mala that works but when i leave the game all controls reset..but don,t just in mame

The TAB button opens the menu to set up the controls in MAME.
It has nothing to do with MALA.

If the device you're using shows up as a gamepad, joystick will need to be enabled in mame.ini
joystick = 1
