hi alan, its my first time on any forum. so i hope i'm in the right place.i have proplems with my rowe-ami diplomat jan. the search board had been damaged and then soldered back together. the result of which it would only play certain disks. while playing a disc i noticed the search board spark and turned off the jukebox half way through a record . i removed the search unit board, and replaced it when turned back on the sound had gone from the record playing and it would not reject at the end of the record. i do have a service and parts manual which is not much help .  i assume that it is half way through a cycle, and not able to complete. the record will not leave the turntable . is there any way i can get it back to the starting point. ps. now when turned on now i can hear humming from inside the search unit ,but nothing else is happening.i hope i have not done too much damage through ignorance regards mick

Hello Mick,

What Country do you live in?

It sounds as if the search unit is jammed up it could be S1 or S2 that is buzzing or it could be the search unit motor that is slipping on the belts/clutch because of S1, S2.

Have you checked the 30 volts dc on the power supply unit?

Regards
Alan
