B&O MX4000
« on: February 04, 2013, 05:08:37 pm »
Hi Calamity;

Thanks again for this lovely piece of software.

I have a B&O MX4000, still a newbie with Groovymame/ArcadeOSD but getting a beautiful picture as it is.

But to really tweak and getting into the hobby would the order of things be:

Adjust in Service mode on TV
Use ArcadeOSD to determine ideal settings
Add these modelines to VMaker

What is the best way to get a preset for a B&O MX4000 TV? more than happy to be a test subject for this !

Many thanks again.

Wil

Hi wilwong,

I decided to split this topic so it is easier to find for someone interested in the B&O set. Yours is a very cool TV. However I have no experience with this brand.

It shouldn't be too difficult to find good settings for it. Use the SCART TV threads in this subforum as a reference. Probably the basic 15 kHz preset is good enough and you only need to access service menu to eliminate overscan.

If your TV tries to be smarter than us and has some geometry autoadjustment mechanism for PAL/NTSC then things can get trickier.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

Hi

I'm a little curious about this - Did you stick to the  15kHz preset and adjust the Service menu?
I have the MX4200 (tomorrow :)) and I'd like to be a bit prepared

Thanks /Nano
