X-Arcade - can you force one joystick into 4-way ONLY for specific games?

Just got it yesterday and wondering if I can set the controller for 4-way emulation via Mame UI but ONLY for Pacman, etc. Is there a config file for each game somewhere? or do I have to change it every time I go from a 4-way game to 8-way?

On the affected titles, the game code is going to run in 4-way mode whether you like it or not, which is why using an 8-way stick as an input device can potentially cause problems. 

So, the only way to fix the problem is to hook up a 4-way stick to MAME.  This is achieved by the mechanical design the stick itself, not through software configuration. 

There is no easy way to do this with your X-Arcade, unless you want to configure one stick to be a full-time 4-way, or buy all new sticks that provide switching capability.
