Can I stay permanently registered to a thread?
« on: November 04, 2003, 04:37:55 pm »
It seems like I get the first notification, but if I actually go read the thread but don't post a reply with notification, then I don't get any further updates.

A lot of times I'd like to follow a thread without having to chime in every time I read a post.

Click the "notification" link at the top of your screen, and uncheck "Receive topics email notification ONLY in 1st unread reply"

SpamMe - when I click the notify link, it sends me to a page and asks if I want to deactivate notification for the thread. I clicked "No"

So when I reply, do I have to check "Notify of Replies" every time, or will it be automatic?

There have been a few times when I stopped getting notifications, and I assumed that it was I replied without checking the box again.  Now every time I reply to anything, I check the "notify" box - it's become instinctive.  Not sure what the exact rules are, though.

I mean "notification" at the very top of the page, right below "arcade controls.com".
