Near New Orleans? Help me with tmolding for CP! Please ;)

Hi all I'm a young single father/college student and I've been building a cabinet for my kids and I to play together. I'm 90% finished, but one of the last things I have to do is cut the tmolding slot around the control panel. I converted an old jamma cabinet so the tmolding slot was already cut for everything else. The problem is that I don't have a router, I've asked all of my friends and family, I've checked all the local stores, and even searched Craigslist but I cannot find one to rent or borrow. Unfortunately my current job has my finances extremely tight and it will stay that way until I graduate so buying a router is simply impossible. If anyone is near New Orleans that has the router and bit would be willing to help me I would greatly appreciate it and pay a few bucks, a pizza, or a few beers.

The control panel is a total of about 90" around (7.5ft), and with the proper tool it should be an extremely quick and easy job.

Alternatively I do own a dremel 400 xpr with the flexible extension shaft and if anyone knows of a bit that I could successfully use to cut the slot for 3/4" molding I'm confident in my abilities to freehand it. I'm just not sure of the correct bit to use or if one exists.

if you are just looking to finish the edge, what about an iron on edging? then you can just pull it off and route the edge and install a proper t-moulding when you are able.

Well I already have the tmolding - I bought enough to replace the original molding around the cab along with the new larger control panel, but that may be a decent option. Do you have a link to an example of this iron on molding? The other problem is that my tmolding is a neon blue type color; so I'm not sure if ill be able to find that color depending on the varieties of iron on available.

Check pawn shops!!!! I found a plunger craftsmans router for 6 bucks about a month ago.  If you freehand it goodluck go very slow. I used a drimmel to do my corners when I used bondo on them. Worked great.  But had to go slow.   Pretty sure I used the one on the right. The. .040 thick one

i mostly meant the iron on can be a temporary fix until you can either:

1:) buy a router and associated bit.

2:) borrow aforementioned router from someone.

you probably won't find the shade of blue you are looking for, but black would cover up the edge. it's pretty easily peeled off. you should be able to pick some up at most major hardware stores.

i don't know where you're at, but you can get a router pretty cheap at one of those surplus places or even pawn shops.
