No Sound for NES/Atari 7800 roms - MAME Sound OK?

My MAME games produce sound, but my NES/Atari 7800 roms do not.  I am running all of these through MaLa.  The Nes roms still don't play sound through Nestopia, so is there a setting that isn't set up or am I missing files?

The Atari roms were actually working, the problem turned out to be there was not audio device selected in Nestopia.
