Andy also has the U-Trak. I went with this since I have a wood panel and it mounted clean.

Don't really have anything to compare it too. But I don't have any complaints either.

I was looking for advice to make my decision easier, not harder....  ;)

Ok, now I've got 3 to consider. It will either get retrofitted into a HotRod SE panel, or I might start from scratch and order a custom CP top from Jim and make it myself. Any thoughts?

I've also got the U-Trak and love it.  It was painless to mount on my MDF control panel, and on the net there's is a very nice step by step instruction (with pics) that somebody put together on how to install it.  I don't have the link, but it should be easy enough to find if you look for it.

I'm assuming the X-Arcade unit is the same one they put in the Tank Stick.  If so, it's worth noting that my brother has been using an X-Arcade Tank Stick for 3 years now and, while he is generally happy with it, whenever he plays on my cabinet he says "Man, I like your trackball SOOOOO much better than mine."

The GGG 3" trackball is a clone of the Happ 3" and is of excellent quality.  With the required EZ-Wiz (get the no-solder one for +$2), it's still cheaper than a Happ Trackball.

I have both a vintage Happ with red board update and I just installed a new GGG on another machine and they are of equal quality.

Also, my trackball template works exactly perfect with the GGG as well as the Happ...
