What 8-way joystick feels most similar to u360?
« on: January 23, 2013, 03:41:33 pm »
Okay, this may be a slightly odd question.  I'm building my 4 player control panel, and I've decided I'm probably getting the u360 for the first player joystick.  It just gives the most flexibility for the range of games I'm playing.  But I don't need that for the other three players.  At the same time, I don't want those two feel night and day different from the player 1 joystick.

So, in terms of throw, stiffness, etc., what would be a good all around 8-way joystick for players 2-4 to compliment the u360 as the player 1 joystick and would feel most similar to it?

The normal equivalent I think is a Sanwa JLW.

I used 2 u360's for p1 and p2, and Magsticks for p3 and p4.

There's several games that use 2 sticks (think robotron and the like) and I love using the 2 u360's for run/fire on them). But the magsticks are nice because they feel more like the old school machines, and they're 4-8 way switchable just by rotating the stick. Really cool for a number of games.

Is that also (I believe) the Ultimarc J-Stik?  I think I read somewhere that those are the same.
