Hi guys.. I'm new! (to the fourms)
« on: November 03, 2003, 02:40:52 pm »
First, a big hello to all you reading this.  This message board is a pleasant surprise for me, the amount of useful info and active members is amazing.  I'm not nearly as accomplished as many of you guys, but I do consider myself a novice woodworker. I have worked with wood for many years and spent much of my youth working at "construction" related jobs.  I am handy with tools, and have enough of them to successfully build a MAME cab. I have built one MAME cabinet and own a Simpson's 4-player cabinet.  I sure wish I had known about this awesome resource when I was building my cab.  I see so many answers to questions I had when building it last year, and many great ideas that I want to incorporate into my next one. After looking at the projects from many of you, I am seriously impressed at the quality of the work you guys are doing.  It makes me chomp at the bit to get started on v 2.0.  I do have several questions about construction and some involving problems I have with my cabinet but I will search the forums so I don't post redundant topics.  A big to thanks goes to the site owner for the great resource.

That's all I have for now, I hope that wasn't to long winded for a first post.

Welcome!!  I would have never gotten as far as I have with my cab had it not been for this board.  I am still asking questions and getting very helpful responses from here.  Great bunch of folks in here, have fun!  ;)
