Rowe Storm wall mount Jukebox glass question
« on: January 17, 2013, 04:39:36 pm »
Does anyone know if anybody sells replacement glass for the Rowe Berkeleys or Storms?  I have aquired a few as projects and they all have some degree of peeling on them.  Another thought I had was to take the glass off another Berkeley and get it scanned if possible and then get it printed on transparent plastic and just put it in behind the glass after I scrape off the peeling graphics.  Any other ideas? Thanks

Shipping something from the U.S. to Canada for repair/exchange?  Please use USPS to avoid (additional?/excessive?) shipping charges.  PM me if you have any questions.

I have one, but it would probably cost a fortune to send it to you...and it might not even show up in one piece.

what about maybe scanning the one you have, fixing the errors, and then printing it?

you know, i don't even know how that would look.  :dunno

the Storm is pretty dark, you could probably touch up the spots with some black enamel paint.

the Berkeley is pretty wild...and translucent it wouldn't cover up too great.

Those should still be available to purchase from your local Rowe distributors' parts department. They aren't cheap though.

Hello Ken,

Nothing has ever been cheap with regards to jukebox parts and in the UK we pay through the nose.

I would call Vendors in your area. Many of these juke boxes where converted to digital jukeboxes via jump kits. Operators have a bunch of these glasses laying around. I have a few left but I am saving them. As I have been replacing my converted boxes I have been turning them back into CD boxes and selling them. But, I doubt a lot of Operators will go through the aggravation of converting them back and will probably just sell them as digital boxes when they replace them.
